The Senate was called to order at 11 o'clock by Mr. Johnson, of Bedford.
Certain patriotic resolutions, adopted by the officers and soldiers of the Fourteenth Virginia regiment, were introduced by Mr. Nash and referred to the Committee on Confederate Relations.
The President pro tempore read a letter from Dr. L. S. Joynes, Dean of the Faculty of the Medical College of Virginia, inviting the attendance of the members of the Senate at the annual commencement of that institution, on the 11th instant, at the Medical College in this city.
Senate bill supplemental to the act passed March 8, 1864, entitled an act appropriating the public revenue for the fiscal years 1863--'64 and 1864 '65, with amendments proposed by the House of Delegates, was taken up. Some of the amendments were agreed to, and others disagreed to, after which it was returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion of Mr.
