The officers of the company are Woodville Latham, Jr., Captain; James N. Lamkin, 1st Lieutenant; Edward E. Jefferson, 2d Lieutenant; F. T. Massie, 3d Lieutenant. There are about one hundred men, stout and strong, and for whom the "rough and tumble" of the camp and the battle field will have quite as many charms as terrors. We feel sure that our Nelson Artillery will compare favorably, as to its material, with any company in the service, and we are equally confident, from what we know of the officers, that they will endeavor to put it in every other particular upon a footing with the best. **
