Fruitless excitement. --A man went into the Passport Office on Saturday, and, inquiring for a passport to Preston county, was informed that it could not he granted, when he remarked that he would go any how, where upon Colonel Jones demanded his name. This he refused to give, and started to run. He made his way into the Capitol Square, where, a hue and cry being raised, he was quickly surrounded and secured.
