Olney, Jesse 1798-1872 Geographer; born in Union, Conn., Oct. 12, 1798; taught school for some years; then devoted himself to the preparation of text-books, geographies, a history of the United States, arithmetics, readers, etc. He died in Stratford, Conn., July 31, 1872.

Willard, Abijah 1722-1789 Military officer; born in Lancaster, Mass., in 1722; was made a mandamus councillor in 1774, which caused him to be an object of public opprobrium; was arrested in Union, Conn., but by signing a declaration made by his captors he was liberated. He was proscribed and exiled in 1778; was in New York City in July, 1783, and with fifty-four others petitioned Sir Guy Carleton for land grants in Nova Scotia. These petitioners were designated as the Fifty-Five. Willard later settled in New Brunswick. He died in Lancaster, New Brunswick, in 1789.

P. Paddlefoot, Jonathan (otherwise written Padlefoote, and Padlfoote), m. Mary Blanford 5 Oct. 1652, and had Jonathan, b. 6 July and d. 29 Oct. 1653; Mary, b. 22 Aug. 1654; Jonathan, b. 13 Aug. 1656; Zechariah, b. 16 Dec. 1657, d. in Framingham 7 July 1737; Edward, b. 14 June 1660, slayn in the wars.
