region. Menifee is at Owingsville, Bath county, with four hundred brave Kentuckian, who have united to expel the Yankee invaders, and have volunteered in the Confederate army. Judge Barns with the same number is at West Liberty, Morgan county. Colonel Williams with 1,600 men is at Hazel Green, in the same county. General Humphrey Marshall, with a large force, is at Prestonsburg, Floyd county. There is great excitement in all the Blue Grass region. The Yankee troops stationed at Paris, Bourbon county, expected an attack, and sent hastily for reinforcements. A number of Federal soldiers attempted to arrest some Southern Rights men at Bagdad, Shelby county, 15 miles from Frankfort, on the Louisville railroad. They were repulsed, and the Kentuckian effected their escape. There are indications of an uprising of the Southern men in all that portion of the State. Three more regiments of Indiana troops arrived at Louisville on Saturday and Sunday last.
