Re-arrest of a lunatic.
--On Saturday morning last, in accordance with instructions from the Hustings Court, Deputy Sergeant Williams visited Castle Thunder for the purpose of taking to Staunton a lunatic named White, who had formerly been a sutler in the Confederate service.
White was brought down into the office; but, during a brief absence of Mr. Williams, with that peculiar cunning which often characterizes persons of insane mind, he quietly walked out of the building, and, proceeding to the Danville depot, managed by some means to get on the Danville train and leave the city.
He was yesterday retaken in the neighborhood of Burkeville and brought back to the city.
Upon his person was found various sutlers' papers, by means of some of which, it is supposed, he passed on the cars.
