ere informed to New York, when he was directed how to steer, and instructed not to dare to alter the direction of his vessel, or she would be seized. After quitting this bar the bark kept as close to the land as was prudent, and when off Bull's Island, about 4 P. M., Monday, the tops of the trees only being visible, Mr. Amiel concluded to leave her, the Captain having kindly consented to let him have one of his boats. The boat having become tighter by being in the water, they reached Bull's Island on Tuesday, where they were very kindly treated by Mr. Wm. Whilden and others, and through the kindness of the former and Mr. J. Torrent, they were enabled to get to this city on Friday morning in a boat.--Charleston Cour.
