--There is very little doubt that Capt. Henry Bornes, Assistant Adjutant-General of Louisiana, has been gobbled by the Yankee gunboats on the Mississippi river. Capt. Remos was sent to Richmond in July last with important official papers from the Governors of Louisiana and Texas, and was to return with a large amount of Treasury and State issues.
