Monument to Sir William Wallace --The foundation stone of a monument to the memory of Sir William Wallace, the great deliverer of Scotland, was laid at Stirling, Scotland, on the 24th ult. An immense concourse of people, comprising delegations of the Masonic fraternity from all parts of the country, were present on that occasion. It deserves to be noticed that the great battle which first secured the independence of Scotland, was fought by Wallace within one mile of Starling and in view of Abbay Craig, where the monument is to be rested.
