They are satisfied, however, that something is in the wind. Wounded Kentuckians from the Federal side declare that, although they fired off their guns, they never hurt anybody yet, and are sick of the war. The Atlanta Intelligencer comments upon the situation as follows: During two days past the armies confronting each other at Kennesaw have been quickly resting — the enemy, doubtless, to recover from the effects of his late disaster, and our troops because their movements only depend on the hostile demonstrations of the opposing army. Sherman will doubtless clear away the wreck of his futile and disastrous assaults before he gives battle again.
