Canal men are very uant of them will join the Federal forces at once. From California. Fort Kearney, June 8. --The Fancy Express has arrived with San Fransisco dates of May 29th. The largest are for several years occurred in San Francisco on the night of the 27th. It destroyed rows of "Cheap John," stores on both sides of Commercial street, between Sansom and Battery streets. The loss is estimated as from $50,000 to $100,000. General Sumner seems to be concentrating most of the United States troops in and around the borders of the State and at the fortifications in the neighborhood of San Francisco, but as they amount to only a few hundred in all, the movements are not considered extraordinary.
