Louisville, Nov. 26. --Rumors are prevalent this afternoon, but generally discredited, that Gen. John C. Breckinridge, with a large force, is advancing from Green river in the direction of Owensboro's or Henderson. A young man arrived at Camp Calhoun, McLean county; on Saturday last, and reported that J. C. Breckinridge is between Russellville and Greenville, sixteen miles from Greenville, with a regiment of cavalry and one of infantry. He intended crossing Green river at Rochester, and also at Ashbysburg. Another force was to advance on Rumsey, opposite Calhoun, and divert Gen. Crittenden until the other two forces got in his rear.
