onment of Mr. Vallandigham is "an act which has brought dishonor upon our country, which is full of danger to our persons and homes, and which bears upon its front a conscious violation of law and justice." It was the largest meeting ever held in Troy, although got up without any extra effort, and it was particularly noticeable because of the larger number of gentlemen present, as officers and otherwise participants, who never before acted with the Democratic party. In Brooklyn, Kings county, the Democratic General Committee have appointed a sub-committee to consider the subject of the recent arbitrary arrests by the Government, and draft resolutions expressive of the sense of the Union Democratic General Committee. Mr. Miller said he "hoped that the resolutions would pledge the general committee to sustain Gov. Seymour in resisting all attempts at arbitrary arrests by the General Government in the State of New York. A mass meeting of the people of Seneca county is
