General Sir:--In compliance with the wishes of the Commanding General, I submit the following brief report of the operations of this corps from July 18th, 1864, the day on which General Hood took command of the Army of Tennessee, to September 29th, 1864, the day on which we re-crossed the Chattahoochee.
