--From the Medical College the slave James Thornton, a Negro man about 25 years of age, 3 feet 8 or 9 inches high compactly and strongly built, weighing 160 to 175 pounds. He has a wife at Mr. Edmund Winston's, near Taylorsville, Hanover county, and may have gone in that direction.
He is a shrewd, smart fellow, and will try to give a good account of himself.
