--Gov. Morgan's (of N. Y.) report on pardons, reprieves and commutations, made to the Legislature, in compliance with the requirements of the Constitution, shows that during the year 1860, he granted seventy-eight unconditional pardons, and commuted fourteen sentences.
The total time for which these persons were sentenced to prison amounts to four hundred and forty- five years; the amount of time commuted and pardoned is two hundred and forty-four years.
