Col. Fauntleroy.
--This gallant and distinguished officer, who has but recently resigned his commission as Colonel of the 1st Regiment of U. S. Dragoons, arrived at his home in this place on the 7th inst., from Santa Fe, New Mexico, after 36 days of unceasing travel, by day and by night.
Pausing here not long enough for his friends to greet him, he has proceeded to Richmond to report for duty in the service of Virginia.
