Death from the Bite of an Adder. --The Augusta (Ga.) Constitutionalist says: It is with regret that we record the death of H. H. Parkin, Esq., a member of the Clinch Rifles of this city. As most of our readers already know, his death was caused by the bite of an adder, and the sad event took place on Friday last, near Pensacola, where his company is now stationed. Mr. Parkin was, we believe, a native of England, and was about thirty years of age. He had been employed as book-king a good voice, was often the source of much pleasure at the reunion of his company, assisting in rendering patriotic songs in an admirable manner. He was also a member of the Atonement Church choir, and his loss will be deplored by the members of that denomination, as it will be by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and other relatives to mourn his death, while the melancholy event will be the cause of heartfelt sadness to his gallant comrades in arms. The Augusta (Ga.) Constitutionalist"
