Mrs. Allan's case. --The examination of testimony in the case of Mrs. Patterson Allan, charged with treasonable correspondence with the enemy, was resumed again yesterday. About half-past 12 o'clock. all the parties being in attendance, Commissioner Watson opened the proceedings by taking the testimony of. Col. Robert Ould, C. S. Commissioner of Exchange. He examined the letters addressed to "Santa Trinita" and Miss.--, which produced Mrs. A.'s arrest, and identified them as those that had been handed him by Burns. Mr. Ould stated that at the time B. handed him the letters he remarked that he did not know their author, but that they had been given to him to be sent North. Upon learning this, B. was told that he had better see the gentleman who gave them to him and ascertain from whom he had received them. A few days afterwards he was told by Burns that Dr. Powell, who placed them with him, said the letters were received from Mrs. Allan. Mr. Ould was distinct in his imp
