Stolen watch. --On Tuesday last, Mr. W. Waddill discovered the whereabouts of his negro boy Andrew, who had been runaway for several days, and immediately went after and apprehended him. Andrew then stated to his master that the woman at whose house he was found had a gold watch that he had left with her, and on Mr. W.'s demanding it, the lady gave it to him, saying that she had only held it for safe-keeping at the request of the boy. Mr. W. then questioned the boy as to how he became possessed of such a time-piece, and was answered that he stole it, by entering a gentleman's room in the night time, with a false key. Desirous of restoring the watch to its rightful owner and having the boy punished, Mr. W. handed both over to Captain Wilkinson, and yesterday morning the Mayor sent the prisoner on to the Hustings Court to answer for the offence.
