Preserving Appearances. --Henry Baxter, a wounded soldier, was before the Mayor yesterday, for willfully knocking down Johna Wade, without cause or provocation. Harry was fresh from the field of wars, and gave Mr. Wade a "few from the shoulder," by way of keeping his hand in. Harry was held in custody, to be turned over to the military authorities.
