The battle on the Rapidan. the Yankees driven back several Miler — Yankee General Wadsworth killed — Gens, Jenkins, Stafford and Jenes killed--Lieut. Gen. Longstreet wounded. Gen Grant moved from Culpeper Court House, crossing the Rapidan at Germanna and Ely's Fords, and taking the road to Bowling Green, in Caroline county, thus attempting to turn our right and get between Lee and Richmond. Late , (Jenkins?) of S. C.; Stafford, of La.; Colonel Nance and Lieutenant Colonel Galliard, of S. C., and Col. J. Thompson Brown, of Richmond (commanding a battalion of artillery). Gen. Benning, of Georgia, is wounded, but not severely. Gen. Wadsworth, of the Yankee army, was killed.
