Faithful Servant.
--Some few days since a negro man called Marshall, slave to Mrs Eliza Walker, of Rayfield District, S. C., was taken into custody by the police and retained for want of a proper pass.
The servant states that he attends to Milton Walker, co. D, 14th S. C. V., and that in attempting to get to his master in Pennsylvania, he was cut off and captured by the Yankees.
After being in Federal hands for a few days he made his escape, and returned to Richmond in search of his young master.
His owner can learn of his whereabouts by addressing a line to the Mayor of this city.
