The case of Mr. Kupp.
--Mr. Kupp, whose case we have mentioned heretofore, was yesterday before Commissioner W. F. Watson, of the District Court of the Confederate States for the Eastern District of Virginia, to answer the accusation of intending and endeavoring to leave the Confederate States with property in his possession liable to seizure and sequestration under the late act of Congress.
We are pleased to learn that not an iota of evidence justifying the charge was forthcoming, and t learn that not an iota of evidence justifying the charge was forthcoming, and that Mr. Kupp was at once released.
He is "a good man and a true, " if we are not mistaken entirely.
He has been working hard for the State, in Western Virginia, for several years, and came into this Commonwealth, as he will go out of it if he goes at all, bearing the name of a true friend to Southern rights.
This was disclosed by the evidence, and Commissioner Watson expressed great pleasure in discharging him.
