Political. Montgomery, Ala., Oct. 31. --The Breckinridge and Bell parties are holding meetings to-night. Both are largely attended, and the speakers are urging resistance in case of Lincoln's election. Thos. Watts is addressing the Bell meeting.
Dark Subjects. --Jim, slave to Thos. Watts, having a bolt of stolen cloth; Jain, slave to Haxall, Crenshaw & Co., for stealing pigtron; and Henry, a slave, for stealing a bag of corn, were before the Mayor yesterday and sentenced to the lash.
