f the Hustings Court, certifying that Jno. M. Francisco had returned a list of 957 voters in Jefferson Ward to his office. Francisco's bill therefore, $28.71, was ordered to be paid. Henry Davis, Grain Measurer, nominated as his deputies F. M. Hopkins and R. H. B. English, which nominations were confirmed. The English and French Ministers had retired from Jeddo, but the American Minister remained. The Edinburg had sailed with £100,000 in specie for New York. Commercial. Liverpool,March 28.--Cotton-- Sales for 5 days of 69,000 bales, including 12,500 to speculators, and 18,000 to exporters. The market opened active, and the American news caused an advance of Ȃc., but subsequently, owing to the disturbed state of some of the manufacturing districts, it closed quiet, with quotations barely maintained. Estimated sales Friday of 8,000 bales, closing quiet. Stock in port 320,000 bales, including 767,000 American. Flour dull. Wheat quiet and steady. Corn quiet — mixed 37s. Provisions quiet and dull.
