Wheat, in small lots, has been selling in the streets for several days past at $12 per bushel.
As the millers readily give one barrel of flour for five bushels of wheat, we can see no reason for the exorbitant prices asked for flour.
Choice wheat at $15 per bushel, would make the best family flour worth but $75 per barrel.

--The Southern Cultivator has an excellent article on wheat bread, showing that so far as health is concerned, unbolted wheat flour is far better than the flour in common use. This is also the testimony of all intelligent physicians.--And in addition to this, there is a saving of about 25 per cent, in the quantity, which in these times of scarcity and high prices is an item worth caring for.
