Maryland, obtained on Friday last, from Mr. Philip Whitlock, the proprietor of a clothing store on porting to have been due to C. C. Ellerson. Mr. Whitlock occupies a house belonging to J. W. Allison On the 7th of July a negro boy called upon Mr. Whitlock and presented him an account for three montwner of the property, called in person upon Mr. Whitlock for the quarter's rent, when the question wement through the hands of this negro boy. As Whitlock suspected, the account turned out to be a for but himself. On Thursday last, Boyd entered Whitlock's store and presented an account for four moned to it, which was immediately recognized by Whitlock as in the same handwriting as the one which hat eleven o'clock last Friday for his money. Whitlock professed not to have the whole amount on hanhed to leave the city that evening, whereupon Whitlock told him to receipt the bill and he would bornown to be the owner of the house occupied by Whitlock, it could not be considered that Boyd had bee
