The Convention.
Mr. Willey's resolutions of inquiry, on the subjects of taxation and representation, were up again yesterday morning, and quite an exciting debate took place, but no action was taken.
A communication from the Maryland Commissioners, suggesting a change in the proposed plan of electing delegates to the Border State Conference, so as to meet the views of the people of their State, was referred to the Committee on Federal Relations and ordered to be printed.
In Committee of the Whole, Mr. Randolph, of Richmond, continued his able argument on the material interests of Virginia as connected with those of the Cotton States, producing some facts and figures which it would be well for the people to ponder.
He will conclude his speech to-day.
