Mayor's Court, Wednesday, March 11th --Martin, slave of Robert Hinton, was brought up for going at large, and committed to be tried for the offence. Edmonia Newton and Margaret Williams, two negro women, representing themselves to be free, but without registers, were brought up for engaging in a fight at the house of Henrietta Newton Margaret Williams, having initiated the row, was ordered to be punished. The other defendant was discharged. Margaret States was brought up, charged with stealing a lot of furniture, worth $20, from Dees. She was rent on to the Alderman's Hustings Court to be tried for grand larceny. Daniel O. Sullivan, a soldier, arrested for getting drunk and behaving derly at the Marshall Theatre, was sent before the Provost Marshal.
