Isabel Wilkinson; s burying-place, is the following inscription:— Here lyes the body of Mrs. Joanna Winship, aged 62 years, who departed this life November the 19th 1707. This . This name is written with a remarkably rich variety of orthography; such as Winship, Winshipp, Winshepp, Winshape, Winshipe, Winshope, Winchip, Winchep, Winchepp,ward the progenitor wrote his name Winshipp; most of his descendants now write Winship. 2. Ephraim, s. of Edward (1), m. Hannah, dau. of Samuel Rayner, 7 Ap. 1670. 1696; his w. Elizabeth m. Joseph Peirce of Watertown, before 23 June 1701.
