eek. The following is a correct statement of the official organization of the regiment: Colonel, George B. Anderson; Lieutenant Col., John A. Young; Major, Bryan Grimes; Adjutant, John D. Hyman; Surgeon, J. F. King; Assistant Surgeons, Drs. Thomas and Jordan; Quartermaster, Thomas M. Blount; Commissary, Robert F. Simonton. Captains--Company A, A. K. Simonton; Company K, F. M. T. McNeely; Company E, D. M. Carter; Company C, J. B. Andrews; Company G. William F. Kelly; Company B, James H. Wood; Company I, William T. March; Company F, J. S. Barnes; Company D, Junius B. Whitaker; Company H, Ed. A. Osborne. There is a company of Artillery attached to this regiment, Capt. Reilly's, (Company "D," of Artillery.) This company is as yet armed with Infantry weapons, but it is hoped that it will soon be in possession of the guns appropriate to its organization. Capt. R. is an old U.
