. --The Circuit Court of this city, Judge John A. Meredith presiding, commenced its fall term yesterday, at the State Court House. The main point of interest was the institution of proceedings against some of the parties, including the corporation of Richmond, who have been issuing small notes, in violation of the laws of the Commonwealth. The following named gentlemen, composing the Grand Jury, were sworn: Archibald Pleasants, (foreman,) L. W. Glazebrook. Charles C. Ellett, Charles T. Wortham, Wm. Beers, Wm. F. Gray, Alfred T. Harris, Thos. M. Jones, James E. Lipscomb, Fleming Grirth, Robert Harver, Wm. H. Haxall, Mark Downcy, Thos. Boudar, Geo. W. Smith, Jas. T. Butler, Ambrose Cariton, Wm. A. Armistead, Charles Gennett, Garrett F. Watson, George T. Booker, Thos. R. Price, and Wm. West- county and hired from Mr. Bagby, of this city; and Emanuel, belonging to Mrs. Mary Renned, near Charlestown, Jefferson county, and hired from her, Tabo. Election of a Bank President. --A general meeting or the stockholders of the Traders' Bank was held at their office, in this city, yesterday. Mr. John B. Davis (formerly of Davis &Hutcheson, Franklin street,) was elected President to fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Hector Davis, the first President of the institution. The following gentlemen were unanimously elected Directors of the Bank, viz: John A, Helvin, Charles T. Wortham, James T Butler, George W Smith, Robert L. Dickinson, John M. West, Nathaniel M. Lee, and H. Stern.

Robert is a brown skin, black whiskers and moustache, about 23 years old, about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches in height, very intelligent, and talks well; he had on a brown jeans suit, with wooded buttons.
