Military Execution
--Henry Howell, company F, Fourth Alabama regiment, was shot yesterday at General Fields's headquarters a few miles below the city.
The charged against him was joining a Tennessee Yankee regiment, for which he was executed in accordance with the of a court martial.
It is stated that, after Howell ran informed of his fate, he wrote a letter to President Davis threatening retaliation from the Lincoln Government in case he was shot.
