ccess. Indianapolis, Oct. 17. --Dispatches received here announce that more troops are moving into Kentucky. It is said that the Federal Government has been swindled out of about $64,000, by some new rascalities introduced by Col. Young in the purchase of horses, Col. Young has been put in jail in Indianapolis. He is connected with the Kentucky cavalry. Louisville, Ky., Oct. 23. --Judge Ballard has been appointed U. S. S. District Judge of Kentucky, in the place of Judge Monroe, removed. Nashville, Oct. 23. --A dispatch to the Baron of this city, dated Bowling Green, on the 22d inst., states that Gen. Rosseau, with from eight to ten thousand troops, has advanced to Baron creek, eight miles from Green river bridge. Nashville, Oct. 24. --The Louisville Courier of to-day, states that the Federal pickets are at Baron creek, and the main body of the army are scattered between that place and Muldrough's hill, and number about 17,000.
