Boston, Feb. 10.--Arrived, schr. Herald, Norfolk. Disaster.--A schr. of about 150 tons, with two topmasts, sunk last Thursday night, during the N. W. gale, in the Vineyard Sound, about two miles south of Quick's Hole. About eight feet of her lower masts are out of water. It is supposed that the ice made so fast on the vessel that she foundered, carrying down all on board. Small pieces of a boat and cabin work have washed ashore on the north side of the Vineyard. The wreck is supposed to be that of schr. R. R. Freeman, (of Wellfleet,) Smith, from Tangier, Va., with oysters for Boston. The R. R.

Later from Havana. --The steamship Quaker City, from Havana the 5th inst., arrived at New York on Saturday evening. The United States steamers Pocahontas and Powhatan were at Havana, taking in coal — the former to leave for Norfolk on the 5th, and the latter for New York on the 7th inst.--Great preparations were being made for the reception of Prince Alfred, of England. The sugar market had revived under a demand by speculators, while the regular quotations remained unchanged. The stock on hand at Havana and Matanzas, amounted to 190,000 boxes and 13,000 hogsheads against 115,000 boxes and 3,500 hhds. same time last year — During the last week 23,500 boxes and 19,205 hhds. had been shipped, three-eighths of which were for the United State

Marine Disasters. Norfolk, March 19. --Schooner Susan F. Abbott, from Philadelphia, bound for Savannah, arrived here in distress, sails gone, masts sprung. British schooner Wrenn, of St. Andrews, from Matanzas, bound for New York with molasses, abandoned at sea Friday. Her crew were taken off by the schooner Edward Herbert, and brought here.
Shipwrecks. Boston,March 23. --The brig H. Estee, from New York for Dublin, is ashore at Plymouth, Mass. Part of her cargo has been thrown overboard. She is leaking badly, and may be got off after discharging. Crew saved. The brig Lauretta. from Matanzas for Portland, is ashore at Wood Island, Saco. She will get off.
