Mayor's Court. --Besides the cases mentioned above, there were several matters of less interest before the Mayor yesterday: Churchill, slave of George Duggins, was charged with breaking and entering in the night time, the store-house of Robert B. Smith, on Brook Avenue, and stealing several thousand dollars worth of groceries.--In the absence of witnesses the case was continued till Saturday. Peter, slave of Dr. Theo. The following parties were ordered to be whipped: Ellick, a slave, charged with advising and aiding and siding Fanny, also a slave, hired to Peter F Valden, to make her escape and go to the county of New Kent, with intent to deprive her hirer of her services; Frank, slave of Wm H. Macfarland, charged with stealing $400 from Joseph T. Smith; and Tom, slave of Robert Smith, for threatening violence towards his master. A fine of $20 was imposed upon John W. Hughes, for permitting his servant to go at large.
Cage Items. --The following arrests were made by the police yesterday: Phil, slave of F. Gary, charged with stealing a watermelon from the First Market. He was examined by Justice N. T. Chandler, who ordered him twenty lashes. Fanny, slave of Dr. Trent, was whipped for interfering with officer Jenkins, on Tuesday, while in the discharge of his duty, and releasing a dog which had been netted by a negro who was attached in the train of dog-catchers.

John Roberts, charged with having a bag of coal, supposed to have been stolen, proved his title, and the case was dismissed. Lewis, slave of Dr. Samuel Patterson, was committed to jail as a runaway. The following cases were continued till the 26th: Fanny, slave of Martha E. Dickinson; Emma, slave of S. G. Ames, and Kate, slave of Ann E. Fox, charged with going at large; and Charles, slave of P. B. Jones, charged with stealing a pair of gloves.
