Among his publications are The bench and bar of Mississippi; The bench and bar of Texas; Kemper county vindicated, or reconstruction in Mississippi; and the poems, The clock of destiny; The Star of Texas; The siege of the Alamo; and Columbia saluting the Nations, written for the World's Columbian Exposition.
