Captain McCabe, in sending this list, says:
Although greatest vigilance has been exercised in compiling this roster of the graduates of the Military Academy, who entered the Confederate army, together with statement of highest rank obtained by them and dates of their commission, it is well nigh impossible that some errors should not occur, owing to the confused condition of existing records.
