n Putnam and Dennison Wallis. One, Joseph Bell, was missing after the battle, being taken prisoner and carried into Boston, where he was imprisoned two months in an English frigate. Although she was farther from Lexington than any of her sister towns who were represented at the battle, yet she lost more of her children than any other town except Lexington. Hanson, Hist.
