Captain Isaac Gleason, Captain Isaac Gleason was Assessor 1772-76, and Selectman 1778-80. licensed in 1766, was for a time landlord here, and it wafor twenty-four men that engaged for Waltham in the Continental Army in the year 1776, which was called the Canada expedition. Among the number was a negro belonging, William Lock, and Jonas Lock were in the Continental service in the Jerseys in 1776, and lost their baggage, so they were allowed £ 6 each. Sixteen persons who cn men did service at the Boston lines and at Dorchester Heights in the winter of 1776, and three went to Rhode Island. The latter received £ 6 each.
