iah Jordan organized the first Medford Band and was instrumental in bringing Burdett of the Boston Brigade Band out to Medford to teach band music. My brother, Henry Lincoln Jordan, was the leader. Jordan & Potter's Quadrille Band furnished music for many of Medford's dancing parties. I had always been steeped in music (as you might say), and it was one of my greatest delights when father would allow me to go with him. I hope I may be a dancer in the next world.
