Badly Injured. --At the breaking of the steamboat deck at Montgomery, Ala., on the 2d inst., Senator Douglas' wounds were of but little consequence, but the injuries received by Mrs. D. were so severe as to require that she should return to the city and immediately obtain medical assistance. She is now at the residence of Col. J. J. Seibles, where she will remain until sufficiently restored to travel.

Richmond and York River Railroad. --The annual meeting of stockholders of the Richmond and York River Railroad convened at the company's office in this city on Wednesday night. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Richard G. Morriss, of Richmond, on whose motion Dr. Robert Saunders, of Williamsburg, was appointed Chairman. A committee was appointed to examine proxies, who reported that there was a quorum in attendance. The annual report of the President (an abstract of which we have published,) was read and referred to the following committee: Dr. Thos. W. Fauntleroy, Dr. R. M. Garrett, Jno. Bagby, B. R. Welford and B. B. Douglas. The meeting then adjourned to meet again at the Exchange Hotel, on Thursday, at 11 o'clock A. M. The stockholders met yesterday pursuant to adjournment, but without transacting any business of importance, adjourned to meet again at 7 o'clock P. M.
