Assault. --Cornelius Cronin made his appearance before the Mayor yesterday, to answer a charge of making an assault upon John Murphy. Evidence of the fact was exhibited in certain ugly scratches on Murphy's face, to which he added that the accused had deprived him of a considerable portion of the "capillary" with which nature had adorned his head.
