Nelson Banks, convicted at Wheeling for stabbing Field Mager, goes to the penitentiary for ten years. Jones, who was concerned in the Perkins robbery case, gets two years and six months. One John L. Stephens, publisher of an obscene sheet in the village of Valatie, N. Y., was tarred and feathered one night last week, by the indignant villagers, and then driven out of town. The factory and machine shop of Stillman Brothers & Co., at Pawcatuck, R. I., was burned on Monday night, Loss $15,000; insurance $12,500 Joseph Frazer was killed by a blow from the fist of B. R. Walker, at Lake City, Fla., last week. Frazer was struck just below the car, and lived a few days after it. Mr. Henry A. Fuller, a citizen of Cambridge, Mass., committed suicide last Wednesday, by shooting himself. Pecuniary perplexities led to the act.
