Drawing near. --The Rev. Dr. Comming, of London, delivered on New Year's day a sermon called "A Retrospect of the Year," from the text: "The night is far spent; the day is at hand." He urged his old theories about the speedy coming of the millennium, strengthening his position by arguments drawn from the political events of the year.
