iss Isabella Hinckley made her debut in New York, Monday night, as Lucia. She made a distinct success. The lady is about 20 years of age, with beautiful face and form. Though a native of New York, she received her musical education in Italy. Carl Formes, Stigelli, and Madames Johannessen and Von Berkel, are singing German opera in Philadelphia. Gazzaniga is at Lisbon. A new tenor, Simon Levidan, said to be of extraordinary power, is in New York. Mad Anna Bishop is giving concerts in Philadelphia. The play of Rob Roy was given in New York, Monday night, with all the original music. Aynesly Cook and Miss Annie Kemp performed in it. Prof. Anderson, the Wizard, played Rob Roy. Hermann Breiting, for twenty years tenor of the Darmstadt opera, after singing to entertain the Germans all that while, for the last five years of his life found a shelter in the Hospital for Strangers, at Hotheim. The poor fellow lost his voice, and his fortune followed. He died the other day, aged 57.
