Sent to the Penitentiary. --In the case of John Mescoe, convicted before Judge Lyons and sentenced to the penitentiary for receiving stolen goods from a negro, an appeal was taken, and the execution of sentence suspended in consequence. The Court of Appeals have refused to reverse judgment, and the prisoner was taken to the penitentiary on Wednesday, to remain two years.
