John Lipscomb, the lad whose thieving exploits have rendered his name ffamiliar to our citizens, yesterday underwent a trial before Judge Lyons, of the Hustings Court, for feloniously entering Henry Miller's shoe store, on Broad street, and the grocery store of Word & Brother, on Main street, in April, 1860, with intent to commit a larceny. The jury acquitted the prisoner of burglary, but elected him to serve three years in the penitentiary for grand larceny committed in Miller's shop, and for one year on the other charge. The prisoner was sentenced, and taken to the prison yesterday evening.
