Meeting of the Canadian Parliament. Montreal, March 18. --The Canadian Parliament met at Quebec on Saturday afternoon. The speech of the Governor contains very little of importance. He congratulates the members on the returning prosperity of the country, alludes to the visit of the Prince of Wales; recommends assimilating laws in the two sections of the province; a bankrupt law for Upper Canada and improvement in the discipline of the prisons. He says that great efforts will be made to establish a sound system of immigration and promote the settlement of the wild lands. He then makes a slight allusion to the Anderson case.
